“Thanks for your support this year - after speaking with you last month we created an SRE Information Pack for Schools, outlining what they would get by way of topics, themes and values, through our SRE lessons. We've had excellent teaching opportunities and feedback this school year, from a variety of schools, and we are keen to meet with the young people to help them explore their choices about sex and relationship issues.” Youth worker
This example is primary school that wants to revamp their SRE curricculum. Teachers need support and training in delivering effective SRE. Parents need to be reassured that the curriculum was appropriate for their children and how they can help. Most importantly, that pupils need to have the knowledge, skills and understanding to help them make healthy relationships in the future.
